Announcing the Design Camp Scholarship

Big news: we’re headed back to The Santa Monica Proper for our second installment of Design Camp LA in May 2022. This time around, we’ll be including a slew of new content and format additions to foster even more education, implementation, and community building throughout the event. As always, we’re so grateful to have designers attend from all corners of the country at all different stages of their business.

Our friends at Los Angeles-based Ravenhill Studio share Design Camp’s commitment to equitable representation within our industry. They’ve graciously partnered with us to offer a new scholarship opportunity for a budding designer local to Southern California. The recipient will receive a complimentary ticket to the four-day strategic retreat, and we’re sharing the details for entry below.

We’re so grateful to Ravenhill Studio for their partnership and commitment to the greater design community. Ravenhill Studio specializes in lighting, furniture and product design. Since its founding in 2010, the Los Angeles based studio has explored material, function, and manufacturing methods to create a body of work that we’ve personally come to know and love. Here’s what they had to say about what this scholarship means to them as a company:

This work is all about relationships —we couldn’t do our work without the network of fabricators around LA who we work with daily, or the interior designers and architects who are always pushing our work forward and in new directions. Partnering with Design Camp felt like a special opportunity to support a local designer in our Los Angeles community and get our work in front of a diverse group of new up and coming designers.”

It’s an immense honor to be offering this scholarship, and we can’t wait to read your entries. Best of luck!
