Favorites from the #IDCOatHome Feed

We’ve shared our take on Instagram etiquette for interior designers and the importance of lifting one another up within this industry. It’s one of the reasons we started #IDCOatHome in the first place. To that end, we’ve committed a monthly round-up series as an opportunity to practice what we preach. Featuring ten images that showcase the incredible work posted to our feed, our hope is to spotlight, inspire, and spur conversation within our beloved design community. As always, don’t forget to tag your posts with #IDCOatHome for a chance to be featured.

Modern traditional Texas kitchen with medium wood tones designed by Alison Giese

@alison_giese_interiors

As one of our favorite Texas-based designers, Alison Giese knows how to bring soul to any space. She helped her clients design their dream kitchen, complete with warm wood tones, natural stone, and brass hardware to tie it all together.

Mudroom with Green Smoke by Farrow and Ball, design by Ashley Montgomery

@ashleymontgomerydesign

Never have we ever seen a more thoughtfully styled mudroom than this one by Ashley Montgomery. She used Green Smoke by Farrow and Ball to add an element of drama, with wood tones and woven details to layer in some warmth. There’s no question this color will be going on our favorites list.

Neutral striped staircase runner, design by Sabrina Albanese

Interior Design: @sabrinaalbanesedesign | Photography: @lomillerphoto

@sabrinaalbanesedesign

We love a good staircase moment, especially when it’s designed in the hands of Sabrina Albanese. She brought pattern into play with a neutral striped runner that provides both form and function. However, the ottoman and leaning art styled on the landing is the most clever addition, in our opinion.

Warm modern primary bedroom with matte black chandelier, design by THELIFESTYLEDCO

@thelifestyledco

Any time a reveal by THELIFESTYLEDCO pops up on the #IDCOatHome feed, it grabs our attention. The primary bedroom from their latest project, #64thBuild is no exception. It delivers all the warm modern vibes, and you can even tour the entire home on their Youtube channel.

Rustic modern entryway with statement gold chandelier by Tyler Interiors

@tylerinteriorsdesign

We’ve previously discussed The Anatomy of an Entryway and this space by Tyler Interiors puts our philosophy into practice. Every element works together, from the slim console table to the well-placed rug to the statement lighting. And who can forget those plaid ottomans that make the whole scene pop?

Modern work from home office nook with built-in cabinetry by Katie Monkhouse

@katiemonkhouseinteriors

For so many of us, our homes have become our offices for the foreseeable future. And if we’ve learned any work from home productivity hacks over the past two years, setting up a proper workspace undoubtedly tops the list. This nook by Katie Monkhouse delivers all the inspiration you need.

1912 historic home with original wood trim, design by Christine McCall

Interior Design: @christinemccallhome | Photography: @tylernormanphotography

@christinemccallhome

Christine McCall described this project as “a tale of creating the perfect balance between old and new.” She opted to keep the original woodworking in her #squirrelhill1912reno but opted to brighten up the space with fresh paint in all the right places.

Cheating Heart by Benjamin Moore on bedroom wall, design by Leclair Decor

Interior Design: @leclairdecor | Photography: @ldshoppe

@leclairdecor

We can spot a Leclair Decor project from a mile away. Their style always brings such an effortless elegance with moments of symmetry coming into play. Add the statement wall color—Cheating Heart by Benjamin Moore—and it’s a home run.

Dining room wallpaper and statement chandelier by Kelsey Leigh Design Co

@kelseyleighdesignco

We have yet to meet a Kelsey Leigh Design Co project we don’t immediately love, this dining room included. As Kelsey put it, “A lot of life happens in our home—the backdrop should be as beautiful and inspiring as those who live in it!”

Entryway with oversized modern art, design by Kresswell Interiors

Interior Design: @kresswellinteriors | Photography: @sharon_litchfield

@kresswellinteriors

Consider this yet another entryway with a modern-meets-timeless appeal. It demonstrates the power of well-placed accessories, with leaning abstract art to help anchor the entire look.
