We’re so close to revealing the IDCO Lake House room-by-room, but today we’ve got a fun sneak peek of sorts. Earlier this fall, we teamed up with Serena & Lily to source pieces for the primary and guest bedrooms with furniture, bedding, and lighting on the checklist. As I began design plans, I knew their fresh, timeless, and coastal-inspired style would blend seamlessly with our waterfront property. Over the past several months, we’ve really put our Serena & Lily pieces to the test and can speak to each selection’s quality and key features. I’m walking you through both bedrooms, including all the links to nab the look for yourself.

We selected the Reese Nightstands for our guest bedroom and went with the dark tone to provide some contrast in the space. I really love the ‘cerused oak’ color that still shows so much wood grain and has tons of character. This nightstand has a small drawer at the bottom that’s perfect for storing our guests’ books, chargers, and general knick-knacks. There’s also a hidden pull-out shelf that offers some bonus storage without taking up any extra space. The bottom line? I’ve been so happy with how well they’ve held up a heavily trafficked room.
If I HAD to play favorites, this nightstand is probably one of my top three pieces in the entire lake house. It really embodies the effortlessly cool and casual vibe I was aiming for and also feels like a real statement. It’s a spacious nightstand with ample storage, and the leather pulls are super sturdy but have the perfect cognac hue. The wood finish has held up great, even when Quinn forgets to use a coaster.
Note: this nightstand is currently sold out online, but the matching console table is also well worth a look.

I designed the lake house around the concept of “elevated camp vibes,” which meant a gingham print had to be involved. This duvet cover was everything I was looking for, and it’s become my favorite bedding we’ve ever owned—period. The linen is that perfect texture to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. And buttons at the bottom are covered in the same linen for a seamless look. Color-wise, the mink is almost a soft mauve-meets-taupe that transitions beautifully between seasons.
I’m notoriously picky about sheets and really did my homework before selecting this particular set. They’re organic cotton with a sateen finish and feature the sweetest pale blue scalloped edge. I love how they dry perfectly smooth, and I never need pressing when I remember to take them out of the dryer promptly.
Once I settled on a metal bed frame for our guest bedroom, I knew I wanted to add some juxtaposition with the bedding. I chose this white quilt with the sweetest scalloped edge and love how it pairs with the vintage-inspired frame. The cotton has held up super well (despite puppy paws), and I wash ours on a weekly basis. One tip: I’d recommend ordering a size up to get the look of the scalloped edging hanging over your bed.

Full disclosure: this lamp is quite large, so be conscious of where you plan to place it. It makes the perfect statement on our console table, which doubles as a small desk. One detail I love is how the tapered shade makes it feel more modern against the vintage-inspired pole cane base. Another key feature is the cord beautifully wrapped in cotton for an heirloom-quality look and feel.
