Madewell extended sizes have finally arrived and I couldn’t be more excited about it. Last year, Madewell extended their sizes of denim to run the equivalent of a size 14. Now, Madewell extended sizes include a 24 in denim and a 3x in tops. While the collection is still very limited, I’m excited to see additional pieces roll our over the next few weeks. That said – I’ve already placed my first order and bought basically everything. I’ll be sharing a follow up post when they arrive with photos and thoughts on sizing!
THINGS I LOVE ABOUT MADEWELL EXTENDED SIZES
There is not a “plus sized” label. Their extended sizes say Madewell on the tag, just like everything else.
All sizes are listed in one product description, you don’t have to toggle to the “plus size” – it felt very inclusive!
Madewell photographed their pieces on a range of models, which you can toggle between while shopping.
The model’s height and size are displayed to help you determine the best fit.
The initial collection includes Madewell classics, but with interesting details like button down backs.
THINGS I DON’T LOVE ABOUT MADEWELL EXTENDED SIZES
The limited number of pieces – I’m hoping more are released each day.
The confusing sizing breakdown – what is the difference between an XXL and a 2X?
The delayed shipping times – most pieces won’t arrive for weeks.
The lack of diversity in their extended size models was surprising.
