After what felt like the longest winter, we’re welcoming the early days of spring with arms wide open. Many of us on team IDCO are gearing up for a proper spring clean-out, reorganizing every inch of our homes and closets to reflect the changing season. We’ve spent the last week swapping recommendations on our team’s central Slack channel, and today we’re sharing which picks topped the list. From homewares to fashion to beauty to books, we’ve got a little something for everyone with shoppable pieces you can easily ‘add to cart.’ So without any further ado, let’s get to the good stuff.

Like every Shea McGee superfan, we tend to keep a close eye on Studio McGee’s latest Target collection. This season, their line is built around the concept of spring renewal, and our product manager, Bridget, couldn’t resist picking up a few pieces. She brought home this wooden cutting board and has been thoroughly impressed. “It’s so thick and heavy, and I’m really happy with it for the price point.”
Our editorial director, Stephanie, is in the process of designing a nursery space and gave her stamp of approval on this tartan plaid + windowpane check rug by Erin Gates. It’s made of 100% natural wool fibers and comes in two neutral color options to easily layer anywhere your home.
We might be stating the obvious here, but upgrading to a digital scale has been the ultimate kitchen game-changer. Gone are the days of guesstimate baking measurements or fumbling around with cups. Not only has a digital scale massively improved our baking game, but it’s also the best to weigh out whole beans for brewing the perfect pot of coffee.
We previously shared this sweater-blazer in our Minimalist Spring Wardrobe Update, but it’s definitely worth a repeat. It’s the perfect transition piece for the changing seasons with lightweight warmth for those cool spring days.
We’re always looking for the latest skincare products, and this one tops the list. It helps with a clearer complexion, keeps skin super hydrated, and gives off that subtle dewy glow we all want for spring. Our skin could use some serious TLC after a dry winter season, and vitamin C does the trick.
Anastasia recently became a Freda Salvador brand ambassador and these d’orsay style sneakers (featured below!) have become a staple in her daily uniform. Not only are Freda Salvador shoes a worthy investment piece, but each pair is designed in California and handmade in the company’s family factories in Spain and El Salvador.

Living through a pandemic year, we all tend to take in a lot of stressful information. Quite honestly, sometimes we just need to feel uplifted. That’s where Kind World comes in. This podcast is dedicated to stories of incredible acts of kindness, and it has become a staple on our account director, Erin’s weekly podcast lineup.
The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennet
If there was one book that seemed to top every “best of the year” list, The Vanishing Half was it. We finally got our hands on a copy (shout out to our local library!), and it definitely lived up to all the hype. The story follows twin sisters growing up in a small Southern town, and delves into complicated themes of racial identity. Side note: HBO has already acquired the rights to develop this book into a show!
For those of you who love a good podcast as much as we do, add this to your list. We recommend Season 1, in particular, which covers the dark side of multi-level marketing companies and the oversold dreams they offer women.
Meghan and Harry’s Oprah Interview
We’re still picking our jaws up off the floor after watching Meghan and Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah earlier this week. Just in case you missed it, you can watch the full interview on CBS website or catch the highlights here.
