I loved the latest reveal from Studio McGee with their OC Ranch Remodel. As always, I’m obsessed with everything they design, but I found this project particularly interesting because of the unusual layout. Great interior designers are truly problem solvers, and the Studio McGee team made this slightly awkward space not only perfectly functional, but nothing short of extraordinary. I found some great duplicate sofas on major sale right now at Pottery Barn, which you can customize to any fabric you like. Below, I’ve linked a few of my favorite key pieces from the project:
Madewell is having it’s insider event, so everything is 15% off if you sign up for their emails. I am so in love with the draped ruffles on this top, I’m going to order a duplicate for safe keeping! I also ordered this beautiful fall floral blouse in this color, but the golden yellow is fun, too! Also worth noting – I ordered these white leather mule booties and these cognac cut out slides. If you missed it before – Madewell has extended it’s sizing to 3x and I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by the cut and fits so far!
I saw this before and after on Style Me Pretty Living from our genius client Lindsey Brooke Design and it has me totally inspired to redesign our spare room. The way Lindsey transformed a super dark, outdated and unused office into a comfy place for teenagers to hang out makes me realize that our 2nd guest bedroom/office isn’t being utilized to the fullest. Quinn doesn’t have a designated “hang out” space or a “man cave” yet, so I’m taking major queues from this project and implementing them at our place. Today my mom, Quinn and I drove 20 minutes north of their Marin County home to Petaluma to visit Aztec Dahlia Farms. It was right out of a movie with huge, hand sized blooms in a rainbow of colors. It’s free to walk through, and you can purchase freshly cut dahlia’s right from the sweet owner, Kate. Blooms last until October, so you still have months to enjoy. Less than 10 minutes off Highway 1, it’s the perfect urban farm stop on your way to wine country.
PS – I’ve been getting tons of questions about the sweater pictured above, and I included it in this week’s fall sweater recap!
