Thanksgiving Table Design: Autumnal Elegance

It’s safe to say that Thanksgiving will look a bit different this year. With social distancing guidelines still very much in place, it’s time to get creative and reimagine our typical gatherings with a more intimate twist. Whether that looks like safe gatherings held outdoors or just immediate family set around the table, we’re fully determined to make this holiday season every bit as special.

So here’s the plan—we’ve styled a Thanksgiving table three different ways, and we’re revealing each look one-by-one. All three tablescapes evoke a different mood ranging from formal to casual with easy styling ideas to get the look for yourself. Plus, we’ve gone one step further and put together your Thanksgiving menu, a killer playlist, and a fun DIY element to tie it all together. The only thing left to do? Read on and put those plans in motion.

The Tablescape

Our tables design was inspired by the rich color tones of fall with moody autumnal florals at the very center of the scene. We wanted our centerpieces to feel organic and unstructured while bringing an element of formality and elegance to the table. Fresh pomegranates and bosc pears helped add dimension to our design and played off the color palette in the perfect way.

Our table is set with woven charger plates, ombre dyed linen napkins, gold flatware, and traditional champagne coupes to mark the special occasion. After all, sharing a beautiful meal with the ones you love should always involve a bit of bubbly.

The Menu

Our Thanksgiving menu is an ode to the classics. You’ll find everything from marinated turkey to delicata squash to everyone’s favorite pumpkin pie. But here’s the catch: each dish features a slight twist on tradition. With just a few simple tweaks to your typical lineup, we think these elevated dishes will be a total hit with everyone at your table.

The Playlist

Our resident DJ (aka – Product Manager) Mica Dieterich compiled the dreamiest playlist “Jazzy Thanksgiving” on Spotify for us and it’s everything your Thanksgiving gathering needs. It’s chock-full of jazzy music (over three hours!) that’s perfect for the occasion.
