We have a new kitchen renovation in the IDCO family beginning this week and cabinet color trends are on the brain. This includes every single last shade of green plus a few unexpected palettes as well. Think moody tone on tone colors and warm, earthy shades. There was a time not too long ago when all white kitchens were everywhere and while that remains a true classic, we’ve rounded up 5 of the best kitchen color trends that are taking cabinetry and our Pinterest board by storm.
You’d be hard-pressed to find a trending kitchen that isn’t some variation of green. From the palest shade of mint to muted sage or deep, saturated tones, this colorway is HOT.

We previously discussed our love of blonde wood here. While technically this isn’t a paint color, the look of natural wood is undeniably gorgeous and very of the moment. Whether outfitting a whole kitchen or just an island sporting beautifully stained wood, this look brings warmth and raw, natural elements to a space.

All white kitchens are getting a warm-up in 2019 with the introduction of earthy colors like greige and mushroom hues. These neutrals look extra pretty paired with marble and brass for a cozy, classic kitchen style.

Another trend in kitchens is the two-tone cabinetry look. If you aren’t ready to go full tuxedo, meaning one color on the bottom cabinetry and another on the top, then a wall of cabinetry or a free-standing island in a different color works really well with this look. An expanded color palette adds sophistication

Dark cabinetry paired with dark countertops is a thing and it’s gorgeous. This moody monotone look feels stately and old world while still serving up modern vibes. If you are loving the dark kitchen trend, take it one step further with a dark stone countertop and then tag #IDCOatHome because we MUST see that beauty.

You should put the paint color next to the picture. I feel this article is useless as you don’t know what you are looking at.
Sorry you feel our article was useless, Debbie! We rounded up trending colors, then found similar options available for purchase. Most designers will not share their paint colors, so we did our best to find similar options. Also important to remember, paint colors vary so much in different lighting, especially after being professionally photographed. I always get 3-5 options and paint swatches in my personal space to check natural lighting, reflections from colors in the space, and your artificial light as well. Thanks for taking the time to leave your comment.
This is a beautiful compilation! I love the dark pairings and the shades of green. I am looking for major inspiration for my kitchen cabinet refinishing project, and this was perfect. Thank you!
Loved this informative and beautiful article. Trying to compare the paint colors that are linked to the photos. Which green do you feel like matches the green cabinets & island in the Rhatigan & Hick photo? The
“current mood” link? Thanks!
These are all good designs for a kitchen. If my kitchen looked like these, I would love to cook all day. Thank you for the color palette you suggested here. This will be very helpful. The neutral tones and shades of green look a perfect combination for my kitchen makeover. I’ll show the house painters Brockton ma I hired these specific color combinations to use for my kitchen.
The Designs were really nice, Loved the article keep up the good work.
