We’re exactly one week out from Design Camp LA, and the excitement is palpable here at IDCO Studio. We know many of you are beginning to outline your packing list and prepare for the trip to Santa Monica, so we wanted to delve into what you can expect for the week ahead. More than anything, we can’t wait to experience the magic of Design Camp LA with all of you as we gather, learn, and create action plans to transform the trajectories of our businesses.
First and foremost, we want every Design Camp LA attendee to know that health and safety are the top priorities. Please remember that vaccines are mandatory to attend, and boosters are strongly encouraged. Vaccine cards must be presented at check-in. As Covid-19 cases surge post-holidays, we’ve also made a few format updates to keep everyone safe and healthy, including:
Whether you’ve previously attended Design Camp in Austin or this is your very first time, we know you’re in for an unforgettable experience. Unlike previous design camp sessions led by Lindsay Brooke Design and myself, we’ve reimagined Design Camp LA with a format that allows our team of experts to share their knowledge firsthand. This includes small round table discussions led by professionals for every facet of your business. Better yet, each round table will feature dedicated worksheets so we can implement ideas in real-time.
Our keynotes, Amber Lewis and Kelli Lamb will take the stage Thursday and Friday night, respectively, and they’re ready to delve into the most pressing topics of our industry. This won’t be just a warm and fuzzy keynote, but rather an educational experience with actionable takeaways to push your business to the next level.
While Design Camp LA is our largest gathering to date, we are focused on creating an intimate, inclusive experience for every attendee. We have carefully crafted seating plans that allow guests to form deep bonds with each other in small groups while sitting with someone new at dinner each night.
Throughout the retreat, vibes will be decidedly casual-cool. Don’t forget to bring a jacket for the meals set al fresco, and a chic pair of sunnies if you feel so inclined.
