On Thursday I’m headed to Barcelona and Majorca and here is what to pack for Spain! I’ve gotten so many requests on what to pack when heading to Europe this summer. With three long trips over the pond this year, I’ve spent tons of time researching what to pack for Spain.
Pick a color palette – select no more than 4 colors that work together and stick to them.
Limit the number of patterns – by keeping your patterns minimal, your pieces work with more items
Don’t pack more than 2 pairs of jeans.
Wear your heaviest clothes on the plane – bring just one jacket during the summer seasons and wear it during the flight. You can use it as a pillow while traveling + save room in your bag.
Stack your hats, and shove your bathing suits in them to keep their shape in your suitcase when you’re packing for Spain.
MY FAVORITE TRAVEL BAGS
I just discovered this bag, which can be worn 4 ways: as a backpack, crossbody, shoulder and hand bag. This saves me needing to pack a backpack and purse, and is easy to carry while shopping around town.
I’ve been using the bigger carry-on from Away for a couple years now, but just picked up the medium. I plan to check my back this trip, since I’ll be carrying work stuff with me as well.
These cosmetic cases feel luxurious and spacious. I use one for makeup and one for my skincare routine.
I went with a color combo of melon hues for Spring. Peaches, citrus yellows and olive green, paired with shades of white. Since I fluctuate between standard + plus sizes, there is a combo of both sizes below. Everything I’m taking has been purchased in the last month + should be still available!

Just came back from Barcelona and I think you will love it! : The city is gorgeous and has a special type of “air” to it that makes it so different from the rest of the country.
If you make it down to Madrid, please let me know! (: That’s where I’m based and would love to show you around. Enjoy this country!

Love this post. We are going to Western Europe next month and I have been researching this exact same thing. Thanks for the help!
